Rebel Ride is independently owned and operated by Erika Brason, a Buffalo native who spent 20 years in local broadcasting, most of those years as an on-air reporter and anchor. Erika is also a certified cycling instructor, and created the Rebel Ride brand from the ground up to follow her passion for fitness. The studio provides a unique setting to offer a boutique fitness environment in addition to fundraising events and outreach to the local community. Erika Brason
Comfortable, moisture-wicking tops and tight fitting cycling shorts or fitness pants are recommended to avoid fabric near the pedals. Remember to bring socks, but we have plenty at the front desk if you forget. Cycling shoes are required for safety, proper foot alignment, and increased performance. The stiff sole maximizes the transfer of energy, and hamstrings are engaged more fully because your foot is attached to the pedal. The stiff sole also helps reduce foot fatigue and cramping. You will appreciate the difference of “clipping in” once you try it! Shoe rental is complimentary or you can bring your own. Pedals accept both LOOK and SPD cleats.
Rebels love luxury, so we offer private showers with spa-grade skin and hair products, fluffy Egyptian cotton towels, and a fully-stocked blow dry bar. Generous changing rooms and social spaces include keyless lockers with USB outlets so your techy gadgets can charge while you recharge!
Let our special events coordinator plan your next party! Bride rides, birthday party rides, sorority events, corporate team building, and special small group rides are always available. Feel free to email erika@rebelride.com for more information.
The booking window for all classes opens 7 days in advance. To reserve your bike, log into your account, select your class on the schedule and select your bike of choice. You will receive an email confirmation for the reservation. Note: Studio B classes require a reservation, but not for a specific spot.
For safety purposes, riders must be at least 14 years of age and 4’11” or taller to enjoy our classes. Riders under 18 must have a parent/guardian complete a waiver.
Class reservations can be cancelled up to 12 hours prior to the class without penalty. Late cancellations and no-shows will result in loss of the class credit. Unlimited package customers will be charged $10 for late cancellations and no-shows.
If the class you want is full, add yourself to the waitlist. As bikes are cancelled, the list moves up automatically and enrolls the next person in line. You will receive a notification email right away. If you are on the waitlist, you may also come to the studio to see if a spot opens up. If you do not get into the class, we will give you a free class for your efforts!
If you’re running late, please give us a call so we can hold your bike. To preserve the experience and respect others, we do not allow anyone to enter a class later than 5 minutes after the class has started. If you must leave early, please let the instructor know ahead of time, and select a bike closer to the door.
Many expectant mothers take classes at all stages of pregnancy, but please consult with your physician to determine if it’s safe for you.
No, each customer needs to have his or her own account in order to benefit from receiving ride results after class.
